The Hunter Valley’s mild temperature makes it ideal for outdoor activities and vineyards all year round. In summer (December to February), the Hunter Valley experiences warm days, with an average 30°C, ideal for vineyard tours, though there can be some rainfall. Autumn (March to May) is a few degrees cooler and a fair bit drier with an average of 20°C, great for outdoor events. Winter (June to August) is cozy and crisp with an average of 18 to 20°C. However, temperatures do drop quite a lot at night, though, sometimes as low as 5°C. So be sure to pack a jacket. Spring (September to November) is mild and green with an average of 12 to 25°C.
